Cocker Spaniel
Mountain West Dog Fanciers
A Guide to all things "DOG" in the Western Mountain States

Basic Description: The Cocker Spaniel is one of the most popular of the sporting dogs combining speed and endurance. He was created
for flushing woodcock and is especially adapted for hunting in cover. He is an active and merry dog, and his keen nose and enthusiasm
make him an excellent hunter. The Cocker's charm and lovable disposition, friendly character and merry nature make him a loyal
companion, trustworthy hunter, show dog and retriever of small birds and game.  He Comes in three varieties; Black, Parti-Color and
ASCOB (any solid color other than black).
