Basic Description: The Pointer is named for the work he does, pointing game. As you might point a finger to call attention to something, so
does the Pointer. The moment he smells or scents a bird, he stands as if frozen. Known since 1650, and used simultaneously in Spain,
Portugal and England, he was first registered here in 1883.
